Aqua Process

During the second quarter fo 1998 Jotax was approached by Aqua Process and Design limited to provide an MMI based control system to automate caustic dosing in a water treatment plant. 

The work was undertaken using a Mitsubishi FX PLC system driven by the new Paradigm MMI the GX450.  The benefits of using the Paradigm MMI were…

  • Ease of use by the customer
  • Full graphical overview of the plant
  • Calibration pages allowing system optimisation without the need for PLC software.
  • The end customer was already familiar with the original XL450 product.

The site was commissioned over a two week period and is currently operational.  Below is a screen dump of one of the two main plant overview pages.  The dotted lines became solid when any pumps became operational providing 'at a glance' plant status.
